Ray Bates will present shipwrecks of Salem Sound and the Northshore. Ray has written two books documenting 1200 shipwrecks north of Boston. He will entertain questions following his presentation.

About the event
Captain Raymond H. Bates Jr. is a diver, lobsterman, and maritime author who has written and published two books documenting 1,200 shipwrecks north of Boston from Winthrop to Cranes beach. He has produced a nautical chart dealing with the wrecks in volume 1 Salem Bay. He is currently the Master of the Salem Marine Society which was established in 1766. He will entertain questions from the audience after his presentation.
