Membership

Unlike other private clubs, membership in the MYC is open to the public, and we have reduced fees for Marblehead residents. We offer both Active and Associate Memberships. All members are welcome to join one of the many committees, attend monthly board of directors meetings, and the Annual Meeting in November where important votes are made for club budgets, projects and to elect the officers.

Active Membership

Active Membership includes launch service to your boat in addition to all Club privileges including social events, dining, and use of clubhouse facilities. We have three launches with service area extending from the Causeway to a line from Tucker's Wharf to the Pleon Yacht Club. Please confirm with MYC Club Manager that your mooring location is within the MYC launch service area, as well as availability of dinghy dock space if needed. We also offer Town Class sailboat owners use of the shallow draft skiff to have access to the Townie trawl-line at the end of the harbor. Contact the Town Class for more details on the skiff access).

Associate Membership

Associate (Social or Kayak) Membership is for those without the need for launch service. Associate Membership provides the benefit of social events, dining, and use of the clubhouse facilities. The Associate Membership also offers access to rack storage of kayaks, as well as the ability to launch your kayak from either the beach adjacent to the Club or the nearby public dock.

Membership Includes

  • Launch service (Active Members only) from early May to mid-October from our private dock to your yacht located within the MYC service area. We have three launches that provide efficient access to members' boats.

  • Use of the clubhouse, deck, floats with water and electrical service. The Club has two rooms available for personal functions of members –  and it is a wonderful place in which to celebrate a special event!

  • Galley food service is available on Thursday and Friday evenings, weekends, and holidays from June to September. Our Galley has earned a reputation for good food and good service at a reasonable price in a beautiful harbor front setting.

  • Club social events are plentiful and include parties, cookouts, a winetasting, sailboat regattas, and winter programs.

  • Membership does NOT include a mooring. Moorings are assigned by the Marblehead Harbor Master.

Annual Dues

The Marblehead Yacht Club's annual dues are modest because many members volunteer their time and skills in the operation of the Club.
