2026 Winter Programs
During the off season, the MYC Program Committee invites experts to present interesting topics such as boat engine maintenance, cruising, and photography. All programs are FREE and open to MYC members and the general public alike. Winter programs offer a great way to learn something new, meet fellow members, and stay engaged with the Club during the off-season. All programs are at the MYC starting at 7pm. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Below is a summary of our 2025 Winter Programs.
Feb 18, 2026, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PMMarblehead Yacht Club Clubhouse, 4 Cliff St, Marblehead, MA 01945, USAJoin Pete and Pam Evans who will present their Down East Loop journey, a 66 day, 2,634 mile adventure. This trip started in Marblehead, then to NYC, up the Hudson River, into Lake Champlain, up to the St. Lawrence River, around the Canadian Maritimes and Maine coast, and back to Marblehead.
Mar 11, 2026, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PMMarblehead Yacht Club Clubhouse, 4 Cliff St, Marblehead, MA 01945, USARay Bates will present shipwrecks of Salem Sound and the Northshore. Ray has written several books about local shipwrecks and why so many occurred in the area. Be prepared to learn why Boston's Northshore was home to many tragic shipwrecks.

If you are a fan of tiki drinks, Disney parks, Chinese-American restaurants, or simply shop at Trader Joe's, you will learn why tiki culture exploded and still thrives today.
